Gingivoplasty is a minor surgery with the goal of reshaping the gums to give it a nicer appearance. It’s different than gingivectomy, which removes a good quantity of overgrown gums around teeth. The main indication for gingivoplasty is improvement of the appearance of teeth when gums surround them in an irregular fashion.
