A cantilever bridge is a fixed bridge that is attached to adjacent teeth only on one end, whereas a conventional bridge is attached to teeth on both ends. Just like any bridge, a cantilever bridge is used to replace missing teeth. However the mechanical charge might stress that one or more adjacent teeth on one end and make the bridge fail.
