Leukoplakia is a clinical term used to describe white patches of keratosis. It’s not a specific disease, but when observed it can be used to eliminated other diagnosis. It can look like candidiasis or lichen planus. In the mouth, leukoplakia is mostly found on the cheeks or on the sides of the tongue.
